What Are Cookies?
Small text files websites store on your device. They remember stuff so you don’t have to re-enter it every time. That’s it. Not as scary as they sound.
Cookies We Use
Essential (Required):
- Session management — Keeps you logged in if we ever add accounts (we don’t yet)
- Preference storage — Dark mode, font size, that sort of thing
- Security — Preventing basic attacks
Analytics (Optional):
- Anonymous visit tracking — Which pages are popular, where people get stuck
- No personal identifiers — We don’t know it’s “you,” just that someone visited
What We DON’T Use:
- Advertising cookies
- Cross-site tracking
- Retargeting (those creepy ads that follow you around)
- Social media trackers
Managing Cookies
Your browser lets you control this:
- Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies and other site data
- Safari: Preferences → Privacy → Manage Website Data
- Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data
- Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions
You can block all cookies, but the site might act weird (like forgetting your dark mode preference). You can also clear cookies anytime.
Third-Party Cookies
We try to avoid them entirely. The few we use:
- Cloudflare (security) — Required for protection
- Plausible Analytics — Privacy-first, no cross-site tracking
No Facebook pixels. No Google AdWords tracking. No sketchy ad networks.
Updates
We review this policy when we add new features. Last check: March 2026.
